…married with two kids, mortgage, careers, and a dog…being a grown up doesn’t feel like I thought it would…I still feel like a kid playing grown up
…churched until early teens…moved from my hometown ghetto to Riverside for grad school…returned to my faith after I got married…left grad school to have kids…settling into my dream job teaching economics and quantitative methods (I’m one of those crazy math/econ geeks)…will be returning this fall 09 to grad school to finish my doctorate and complete my research (this is where I get to sound really smart) on women’s labor force participation choices by applying non-parametric econometric modeling to re-evaluate the traditional age-earnings profiles (no, I don’t know many people I can talk to about that stuff)
…very involved with my church–I confess–I’m a service junkie…gotta get my fix!...for a while I'll be playing Mary, the minister formerly known as Martha
…being a mommy is an amazing responsibility, joy, learning experience, fun, laughter…where else do you get 3 cheers and a high-five for going pee-pee in the big potty?!
...laughing so hard my belly aches and cheeks hurt, hula hoop, giggling uncontrollably, dancing around and spinning in circles, being silly with my kids, when my kids say 'i wuv you mommy', tickling my husband with just a look in my eye, wobbly babies learning to walk, kindergarten logic, big bowls of thrifty mint n chip ice cream, cappucino heath blizzards, oreo cookie milkshakes, all things ice cream, dr. pepper, root beer, peanut butter cups, peanut butter on a spoon, toffee and caramel, snacking on anything cheesy, cooking with lots of garlic, the aroma of fresh-brewed coffee, playing with my hair, painted flowers on my toenails, finding a great deal on something cute in my size, napping in the afternoon, snuggling up in a blanket with a cup of hot chocolate while listening to the rain outside, roller coasters, board games, the moment my students 'get it', random humor, butterflies, daisies, lilacs, lavendar, calla lilies, agapanthas, and blooming jacarandas...these are a few of my favorite things
…I think there should be a special day for whoever invented ice cream, the clearance rack at Target, ziploc baggies, and safety pins…
…I enjoy reading (mostly theological stuff), thinking, music, words, serving others
…I treasure my family, playing with my kids, my knowledge of Christ
…Hebrew word studies make my soul sing…my favorite Bible passages include Jeremiah 22:16, Isaiah 56, lots of Psalms, book of Hebrews
…entertained by Bourne, Matrix, Ocean’s (most slick heist movies), Blue Collar Comedy, 4400, BSG, Monk, 13 Going on 30 (I was so Jenna Rink at 13), 4 8 15 16 23 42 (though I’m really lost these days…I just can’t commit to a show during the regular season…good thing for TV on DVD

Wow! I knew you were brainy and all, but the doctorate research...I can't even wrap my brain around that sentence in your bio. I love those same movies too - so thank goodness we'll have that to talk about. :)
missed you last Thurs.
