I love how the bible works in opposites. The weak are strong and rich are poor, the blind see and the first are last. Then I got to thinking...it's been at least a month since I have written anything noteworthy when it comes to worship. I stopped and thought about how I am always trying to get away with something; a sarcastic remark, speeding, being lazy, crude jokes, "justifiable anger". Then I thought of a great opposite. Christ wins when I surrender. My King's Victory in my life begins when I raise the white flag. And somehow in the humiliation of trying to pull a mutiny on Jesus, I find a lot of joy in giving up and handing over control. Im sure I will try to take it back from time to time. But tonight, I wrote a song, surrendered, felt good, and then went to bed.
