Hey Everyone!

I'm not sure exactly the best way to articulate who I am in a few paragraphs...but I'll try.  I am almost 37 years old (b-day on Dec. 8th for those who love to send gifts).  I have been married to my highschool sweetheart for 16 years.  He's the most faithful guy on the planet.  I have 3 amazing kids...Danielle 14, Makayla 11, and Nathan 7.  I have home schooled them for the last 9 years, and yes, we let them out of the house.  I'm still amazed how many people think that you stay home all day when you home school.

I am a worshipper of God at the core of my being!  I have been singing and writing songs for as long as I can remember and love it.  I thrive by watching people connect with God through worship in all kinds of ways...but mostly when they begin to get it that Christ has rescued them.  

I've always been involed in leading worship, but about four years ago, God began to show me a new way to worship Him.  My calling was the same, but my assignment had switched.  I am now the small groups minister for Beauty for Ashes, (a relational healing group for sexual abuse survivors).   God began to stir my heart to move beyond my own story of pain, hope and healing from my own abuse and walk with others on their journey.  But before I could journey with them, we had to establish a place for them to come.  We've created small groups for this healing to take place at Sandals.   So, instead of singing on a stage, I am worshipping with these courageous women in and out of the trenches that their abuse dropped them in.    It has been the hardest but most rewarding ministry experience to date.  I could use lots of prayers on this one!

I love strong coffee...a "good" glass of Chardonnay...hanging out with friends that aren't scared to go deep in conversation...movie nights with my family on a Friday night  when we all pig out on too much popcorn & milk duds...musical theater...watching people sing on TV in different languages (that's fascinating to me, but drives my husband crazy)...sunsets (dusk is my favorite time of day)...teaching my kids new things...journeying with people through their painful, ugly places of the heart...Sandals church & my Savior, Jesus Christ!

I dislike greatly...flattery...insincerity...liver & onions...bad mommy days...when I've hurt someones feelings...snakes...when my core sins rear their ugly head when I least expect it (ENVY & FEAR)...when people abuse their power or leadership of others...waking up early in the morning.
